Founded in 2023, Forester’s Farm is a small urban farm outside St Louis, Missouri, that provides high-quality rescue services for farm animals in need. Using the gentlest of the rescued animals, the Farm provides educational and therapeutic services to children and seniors on site at schools, senior living facilities, churches, and more. Participants are invited to interact with the animals–brushing, feeding, and petting them–while learning about animal care and behavior. For many children, this is their first experience with a farm animal and the experience builds confidence in themselves and their own abilities. For seniors, the experience can be soothing and entertaining while bringing back childhood memories.
